Orrery

I actually used that very orrery a lot while working on the first and second drafts of my novel http://morlockpublishing.com/the-book ...until in the third draft I decided it was too much work and ditched it. Chapters are no longer specified with exact dates in 2064, just months. Good enough for government work.

  2. The Tychonic model is particularly interesting. The whole thing (and the formal equivalence of the two) reminds me of a bit of correspondence I engaged in a few years ago, which is reproduced here:
