These ads are a collaboration between the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative and ProgressNow Colorado Education. Denver television station KDVR reported that the Colorado healthcare exchange launched the new "Thanks, Obamacare" ad campaign on 12 November 2013 to encourage millennials and other social media users to get insured. (Snopes.com)

This is necessary because the legislative attempt to repeal actuarial statistics creates an unsustainable money pit, much like the New Jersey auto insurance pool a number of years back, and we must get young, healthy people to buy health insurance in order to subsidize everyone else. Everyone will be happy, especially insurance company executives.

But at least we now know why they were so anxious to make sure birth control for women was covered that they threatened the Catholic Church and others to provide it. It is the carrot to get young bucks to sign up for untroubled access to wimmin.

UPDATE: The second ad vanished and was replaced by a yucky-face both here and at Snopes.  Let's see if it happens again.

  1. And, Colorado Planned Parenthood thought it was an exercise in "slutshaming" by those nasty anti-abortion prolifers.

  2. I remember when I was in Navy boot camp. On our first uncontrolled liberty a Chief Petty Officer warned us of a scam involving a pretty young lady getting dumb young sailors to sigh a contract where they would buy a Camera or something for about $1000. It was a total rip off.

He said "If this sweet young thing tries to talk to you then walk away! Cause you ain't gonna get no P**** from that B**** so walk on!".

That is the problem we have here. Obamacare is not gonna get you laid bro! You are not gonna get something for nothing. Instead it's a scam that is going to cost you thousands of dollars and you ain't gonna get no......we you get the idea.

I was expecting you utilize the image that you have occasionally used before: "the mask slips."

But in this case, the mask just clean fell off. Yikes.

  4. How everyone, including uber Liberals, don't find this stuff repulsive is beyond me.

  5. That may entice young single women to sign up. Why should the young bucks sign up for Obamacare, though? Is a babe-to-go part of the health-care package?

  6. I saw that ad and I was like, what a great satire of these dumb Obamacare ads. Then I read the post and found out the ad was real...

All I can say is that Colorado made a big mistake legalizing marijuana!

  7. Like Timotheos, I thought these ads were parodies when I first saw them. In fact, I thought they were kind of ham-handed, over-the-top parodies. A bit sophomoric. Then I found out they weren't parodies.

The country is being run by people who are literally incapable of doing the job. The entire government from the janitors at the Smithsonian to the President should be sacked, and more competent replacements picked at random from the phone book. I seriously believe that any person chosen off the street could do a better job than the professionals in charge right now.
